Our client, a well-established and growing Alaska company, is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Office Administrator / Accounting Assistant to join their team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in being the person who keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. You'll play a critical role in supporting office operations, assisting with accounting functions, and providing exceptional service to both customers and vendors.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Assist with daily accounting and bookkeeping functions
  • Process invoices, payments, and account reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate records and financial documentation
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally
  • Provide excellent customer service to customers, vendors, and internal teams
  • Manage and organize electronic files and office documentation
  • Support day-to-day office operations and administrative tasks
  • Assist with special projects and company initiatives
  • Learn and adapt to new systems, software, and technologies
  • Help identify process improvements that increase efficiency and organization
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in office administration, bookkeeping, accounting, or a related role
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Proficiency in Excel and data entry
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Positive attitude and strong team mentality
  • Comfortable learning new technology and software platforms
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with bookkeeping or accounting software
  • Experience in Quick Books Online
  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience
  • Experience working in a construction, service, or trade‑related office environment
