Assistant Buyer

Job Summary

Manage clerical duties involved with purchasing from order entry to clearance in the country. This includes but is not limited to order entry, confirmations, vendor communication, and supporting all merchandising responsibilities.

• Vendor Communication.
• Compiling product specifications, verifying pricing, following up on scheduled carrier appointments.
• Assisting Merchandisers in duties to include, but not limited to, confirmations and order entry.
• Expedite orders due to changes in demand.
• Act as Merchandiser back-up on an as‑needed basis.

• HSD or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s preferred

• 2-year purchasing or inventory experience required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and excellent organizational and follow‑up skills required.
• AS400 experience preferred.
