Office Assistant 2 (Anchorage, Alaska)
This position is open to Alaska Residents only.
Responsibilities- Provide clerical support to the OCS Anchorage Regional foster care licensing team.
- Assist in processing background fingerprint checks for foster applicants and utilize the NABCS database to track fingerprints and ensure information is continually updated.
- Organize and file closed files, assist with certified mailing, filing licensing paperwork, copying, scanning, and data entry.
- Participate in resource family recruitment as needed.
- Perform additional supportive duties to the Department as required.

High school diploma or the equivalent.
One year of experience with clerical tasks (greeting clients, answering phones, typing, filing, sorting mail, entering data, receiving payments, making change, maintaining logs).
Education from an accredited college may substitute for required experience (3 semester hours or 4 quarter hours equals one month of experience; 150 hours of vocational education equals one month of experience).
Drivers license and valid for at least 18 years of age if motor vehicle operation required.
Typing proficiency may be required.
Competencies- All positions require successful completion of background investigation including fingerprinting and criminal records check.
- Personal vehicle mileage reimbursement available when used for work; personal vehicle insurance required.
- Training courses may be required in Anchorage.
