Job Overview
Administrative Officer 1 located in Anchorage, Alaska. Supports the Statewide Programs (SWP) administrative team for programs such as Hunter Education, Shooting Ranges, Lands & Refuges, Access & Defense, Waterfowl, TED, Small Game, and WHESAP.
Responsibilities- Supervise four administrative positions in Anchorage and Fairbanks.
- Provide independent leadership and management support in budget development, accounting, procurement, contracts, personnel, and payroll for SWP.
- Maintain financial and administrative operations for seven SWP programs.
- Collaborate with SWP staff and team via computer, phone, email, and Microsoft TEAMS.
- Travel 1-2 times per year for training (typically 2–4 days).

Qualifications- Attention to detail, decision making, self‑management, interpersonal skills.
- Broad knowledge of accounting, budgeting, financial management, procurement, personnel, payroll, and administrative policies.
- Administration and Management:
Knowledge of planning, coordination, execution of business functions, resource allocation, and production. - Analytical Thinking/Problem Solving:
Logical, systematic approach to problems. - Financial Management:
Prepare, justify, administer budget; plan, monitor expenditures; assess financial condition. - Oral and Written Communication:
Effective expressive skills for various audiences; clear presentations.
