Position: Administrative Officer 1 (PCN 112041)

Job Overview

Administrative Officer 1 located in Anchorage, Alaska. Supports the Statewide Programs (SWP) administrative team for programs such as Hunter Education, Shooting Ranges, Lands & Refuges, Access & Defense, Waterfowl, TED, Small Game, and WHESAP.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise four administrative positions in Anchorage and Fairbanks.
  • Provide independent leadership and management support in budget development, accounting, procurement, contracts, personnel, and payroll for SWP.
  • Maintain financial and administrative operations for seven SWP programs.
  • Collaborate with SWP staff and team via computer, phone, email, and Microsoft TEAMS.
  • Travel 1-2 times per year for training (typically 2–4 days).

  • Administration and Management:
    Knowledge of planning, coordination, execution of business functions, resource allocation, and production.

    Logical, systematic approach to problems.
  • Financial Management:
    Prepare, justify, administer budget; plan, monitor expenditures; assess financial condition.
  • Oral and Written Communication:
    Effective expressive skills for various audiences; clear presentations.
