Our national law firm was established in 1976 with a single purpose: to represent Indian tribes and that is what we continue to do today.
We represent Tribes across the country in litigation, lobbying, economic development, health care, self-determination, transportation, Tribal government, and more.
Our Firm is looking for a full-time Administrative & Billing Specialist for our Anchorage, Alaska office.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years prior administrative experience, including law firm billing, is detail-oriented, possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while managing competing deadlines.
- Works with Washington, D.C., Accounting Manager to manage and process client billing, complete and send monthly client invoices.
- Works with Washington, D.C., Accounting Manager and Firm Administrator to coordinate and run monthly financial reports.
- Shares office tasks with other assistants, including but not limited to, greeting visitors, answering phones, distributing mail, managing office calendars, processing Fed Ex and postage, maintaining/stocking copiers and related office equipment, organizing files and other storage items.
- Supports the Firm’s administrative and legal team with strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Exhibits professional and courteous communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.
- Inventories and monitors office and pantry supplies, places and receives orders, reconciles delivery tickets and invoices, and maintains, updates, and communicates with related vendors.
- Firm liaison with building management for maintenance, cleaning and repair issues, overtime HVAC requests, building visitor entry, and managing key access to the office.
- Handle parking and other office logistics.
- Book attorney travel and prepare attorney travel vouchers, monthly expense reimbursements, and firm credit card reconciliations.
Hours:
Monday through Friday – 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with 1 hour lunch, or other mutually agreed upon 8-hour-per-day schedule
- Proficiency with full Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Adobe Proficiency
- Experience with time-keeping software
- Experience with document management applications
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Minimum 5 years of administrative experience, law firm experience preferred
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year plus benefits
