Peak Trust Company is seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Compliance Project Manager to help drive the day‑to‑day coordination of our Compliance Program. This role plays a key part in keeping audits, regulatory requirements, and internal initiatives organized, on track, and moving forward. The ideal candidate enjoys working behind the scenes to bring structure to complex processes, collaborating across teams, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
This is a project and process‑driven role, rather than a highly technical compliance position.
- Coordinate and track internal and external audit activities, ensuring timelines, documentation, and requirements are met.
- Maintain compliance trackers, timelines, and effectiveness of initiatives to ensure audit progress and accountability.
- Maintain organized, audit‑ready records, including audit findings, remediation efforts, regulatory filings, and compliance materials.
- Assist with updates, maintenance, and organization of internal policies and compliance documentation.
- Partner with teams to gather information, resolve gaps, and keep compliance‑related initiatives moving forward.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of required regulatory reports and filings.
- Recognize potential compliance risks or inconsistencies and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Support compliance training efforts by tracking completion and maintaining accurate records.
- Identify and support improvements to workflows, tracking systems, and overall compliance processes.
- 2+ years of experience in project coordination, operations, compliance support, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and track multiple projects or work streams simultaneously.
- Experience coordinating across teams and driving tasks to completion.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Experience in financial services, trust administration, or other regulated environments is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (experience with tracking tools or project management systems is a plus).
- Executes compliance monitoring and audit support activities accurately and on time.
- Maintains clear, organized documentation for audits, reporting, and internal tracking.
- Proactively identifies potential risks or inconsistencies and escalates appropriately.
- Builds strong cross‑department relationships to support efficient audit and compliance efforts.
- Contributes to a well‑prepared, audit‑ready environment with minimal last‑minute disruption.
