Trail Heights I is part of Volunteers of America National Services which serves as the Housing and Healthcare affiliate of the Volunteers of America parent organization.

The
Leasing Agent is Responsible for assisting with advertising and outreach for the property to maintain waitlist. Meet with all applicants, showing apartments, processing rental and renewal paperwork, maintain a positive and professional relationship with residents and community.

Job Highlights:

Full-time Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

  • Pay Range: $21.25/hr-$24.00/hr based on experience

What You Bring (Requirements)

  • High school diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of leasing experience.
  • Familiarity with general office procedures.
  • Must possess a positive attitude, high level of flexibility, effective communicator, and detail orientated with the ability to work with minimal supervision, focus on completing assigned tasks in a timely manner, and a willingness to get involved.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation. (Some travel required.)
  • Excellent organizational skill and time management skills
  • Pass background screening (drug, employment history and criminal)

Preferred

Skills:

  • Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws.
  • Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) or equivalent preferred

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Responsible for processing rental applications, certifications, rent calculations and prepare leasing documents in accordance with the regulatory agency’s specifications and Fair Housing Laws.
  • On a daily basis, provides general office support for Administrative Services Staff.
  • Answer phones and schedule appointments
  • Assist with promotion of unoccupied units through various media and advertising techniques.
  • Show apartments to prospective clients.
  • Validate application information and references.
  • Represents the company in a positive, professional manner to all callers, guests and staff.
  • Assist in updating and maintaining waitlist
