Qualifications
- College degree in construction management, engineering or related and equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years experience of cost and scheduling work.
- Must be proficient in Primavera scheduling software.
- Effective listening, verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and report writing skills.
- Must have strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Adobe, and Windows.
- Ability to learn, understand and effectively use client and DES’s corporate management information systems.
- Good working knowledge of corporate accounting and job costing software.
- Ability to use advanced and intermediate mathematical concepts and skills.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately, effectively and quickly use and logically apply mathematical principals and formulas in computer generated reports, evaluations and all other correspondence.
- Ability to understand totality of projects and the reasoning behind decisions made by construction supervision to keep projects on schedule and within budgets.
- Strong ability to reason with client’s project management and construction supervision.

- Must pass a drug test.

ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understand, practice and continually lead by example Doyon Energy Service’s commitment to zero incident safety and environmental culture.
- Provide overall project controls management and leadership on new pipeline construction, rehabilitation of existing pipelines, and oilfield maintenance projects.
- During project planning, work with corporate management, project management, estimators, and client personnel on preparation of construction schedules, work sequencing, work breakdown structure, payment schedules, billings, and change management.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Implement cost control processes and monitor an effective system of program/project cost controls for the construction contract.
- Create construction schedules, including establishing baseline schedules and updates as work progresses.
- Assist with project cost estimates for proposals and change orders.
- Manage and track all project funding sources.
- Measure and control cost, schedule, and technical performance against project activities as work progresses.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on expenditures, progress, commitments, budget performance and schedule performance.
- Provide regular briefing to project manager on project financials, schedule status, issues, and concerns.
- Excellent understanding and working knowledge of all contracts, work orders, change orders, and similar documents governing each project and ensure internal compliance with applicable terms and conditions.
- Continually promote and practice teamwork.
- Understanding of how corporate policies, procedures, practices, and processes relate to projects and clients.
- Participate in required client meetings to include management, cost controls, construction and other meetings as required.
