Overview
As the Superintendent at Brice Pacific LLC you will supervise and coordinate field personnel and daily construction operations in rural Alaska. You will collaborate with design teams, manage project mobilization and demobilization, ensure safety and quality, and drive the project schedule.
Responsibilities- Work alongside the Construction Program Manager to complete tasks on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with design firms to maintain project scope and budget.
- Plan and orchestrate project mobilization and demobilization, addressing site access, logistics, and environmental constraints.
- Supervise and direct craft workers and subcontractor teams, ensuring alignment with project goals, safety compliance, and quality standards.
- Inspect work progress, equipment, and materials for quality, safety, and conformity to contract documents.
- Coordinate with managers, technicians, contractors, and other departments to resolve problems.
- Adapt plans to handle on‑site challenges such as weather, supply chain delays, or logistical constraints.
- Oversee subcontractor performance and compliance with contracts, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Lead site meetings with clients, inspectors, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.
- Use construction management software and digital tools for project tracking and reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
- Knowledge of federal and commercial construction contracts, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with project scheduling, budgeting, cost tracking, and productivity monitoring.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, including conflict resolution.
- Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Smartsheet, Heavy Job).
- Ability to read and interpret complex contract documents and safety rules.
- Excellent organization, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years supervising or directing construction crews.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with federal and commercial construction contracts and regulatory requirements.
- Valid state driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle under the company driving policy.
- Pass drug, driving, and background screenings.
- Design Build experience.
- OSHA 30‑hour Construction Safety Certification.
- EM 385‑1‑1 experience.
- Other safety or project management certifications.
