Job Description & How to Apply Below
The Execution Coordinator ensures safe and efficient delivery of large modifications, major maintenance, and refurbishment programs on the North Slope. The role provides on-site coordination across multiple work groups during construction and simultaneous operations (Sim Ops), resolving conflicts, maintaining compliance, and enabling smooth execution from planning through closeout. This includes daily Sim Ops coordination across operations, maintenance, contractors, O&M, drilling, and wells to keep activities aligned and conflict-free.
The Execution Coordinator is expected to travel ~10% of time.
- Coordinate execution of large projects and Sim Ops, ensuring safe and efficient use of shared field resources.
- Anticipate and resolve spatial, temporal, or resource conflicts between groups.
- Ensure full compliance with HSE Management System during execution, making safety and environmental protection the top priority in all decisions and actions.
- Enforce adherence to site standards and regulatory requirements in daily activities.
- Align contractors, operations, and maintenance teams to execute work packages.
- Provide field feedback to planners, engineers, and supervisors to improve constructability and readiness.
- Identify and drive improvements to Sim Ops, contractor integration, and execution efficiency.
- Capture and share lessons learned from commissioning, punch-listing, and closeout.
- Support Long Range and Infrastructure Planners with constructability reviews, contracting input, and scope validation.
- Provide input on estimates, monitor budget impacts, and manage scope changes through the planning phase.
- Act as the on-site coordinator linking maintenance teams with resident and third-party contractors.
- Oversee daily Sim Ops to avoid space, time, or resource conflicts between simultaneous activities.
- Coordinate logistics (flights, billeting) for infield activities including East-West flights and CD3 visits for O&M activities.
- Coordinate response and execution of emergent work (e.g., pipeline leaks, drill site shutdowns, and other unplanned events).
- Coordinate all POP activities from rig handover to first oil to drive schedule performance.
- Track progress of construction work, including cost performance and scope changes, and updating monthly plans and budgets.
- Maintain records of punch lists, commissioning activities, and project closeout deliverables.
- Act as primary point of contact between field crews, supervisors, Anchorage-based teams, and contractors during execution phase.
- Escalate resource and schedule conflicts, safety issues, or material delays promptly for resolution. Collaborate with the Construction Manager to assess project support needs, reallocate manpower and equipment across multiple projects, and manage logistical support, including billeting and flight coordination.
- Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
- Other duties will be assigned to this position as needed.
- 5+ years of experience in operations, maintenance planning, construction coordination, or project execution in oil & gas, mining, or other heavy industry
- Working knowledge of SAP PM/MM modules (maintenance, materials, financials)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
- Experience working in Alaska or other remote, arctic, or offshore environments
