Summary

Under general supervision, performs inspections on the Division of Environmental Health & Engineering (DEHE) and ANTHC construction projects depending on area of assignment. Serves as team member to manage daily construction activities of assigned projects and safely completes activities within schedule and budget limits established by project manager or engineer.

Responsibilities
  • Assists in developing, reviewing and maintaining schedules, health and safety plans, environmental safety plans, and financial reports for DEHE construction projects in collaboration with Construction Leadership, project managers, engineers, and superintendents. Participates in ensuring constructability concerns are addressed.
  • A part of a project team, assures that the scope of work is followed and that all materials, equipment, and personnel needs are met to complete the project on schedule and budget. Supports Construction Leadership in managing the daily construction activities of assigned projects.
  • Reviews project designs, and assists managers with field construction practices, material and equipment needs. Assists in completing detailed material takeoffs from design drawings to determine the cost and type of materials needed. Determines project fund availability.
  • Recommends cost‑effective method of shipping materials and equipment to construction sites. Collaborates with material suppliers, freight companies, small purchasing and contracting departments to assure that materials and equipment are ordered and delivered in a timely manner and in working condition.
  • Reviews, processes, and tracks project invoices and personnel timesheets. Participates in intermittent and final inspections on construction projects to assure compliance with specifications. Conducts completion assessment of project and quality control inspections. Completes progress and financial reports of project during construction phase.
  • References drawings, design manuals, regulations, technical reference manuals, construction contracts, and other documents in performance of job duties.
  • Travels to remote construction sites.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
