Art Model; Nude and Clothed

Job Overview

The UAA College of Arts & Sciences, Department of Art, is recruiting clothed and nude art models for the  Academic Year. All shapes and sizes are encouraged to apply.

The primary purpose of the Art Model is to provide art students with the opportunity to practice, learn, and improve their perceptive skills and quality of artistic expression inspired by the human body from observation in an art studio setting.

Please indicate in your application which category you wish to be considered for (clothed, nude, or no preference).

The model will pose in inspiring, graceful, or physically challenging positions and hold these positions for extended periods of time without moving. Sessions are typically 2 hours and 45 minutes, once or twice a week, depending on instructor needs. While the majority of sessions are for nude models, there is occasionally a call for a clothed model.

  University of Alaska Anchorage campus, Anchorage.
• Type: part‑time, non‑exempt temporary.
• Pay: clothed models at Grade 75, Step 1 ($16.15/hr); nude models at Grade 77, Step 1 ($20.47/hr).
• Schedule:
  
  2h45m sessions, typically once or twice a week as needed.
• This is a pooled position; applications are reviewed as needed. Submission does not guarantee a job offer.
