In the role of Layout Artist, we'll count on you to:
- Document layout for medium to large qualification packages and proposals, along with other documents on an as needed basis
- Design of document templates/mood boards
- Develop graphics to support proposals and marketing materials
- Coordinate with proposal managers, and marketing coordinators in a team-environment
- Assist department staff with layout and production inquiries and file maintenance
- Coordinate and/or produce documents in Adobe InDesign or Microsoft Word
- Assist in training other coordinators on InDesign, as requested
- May include document editing, research, and working with the local office where the project is being managed
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, journalism, management, graphics, or related field.
- Knowledge of the entire Adobe Creative Suite standard.
- One to two years' experience in a high-demand document layout position and experience in the A/E/C industry is a plus.
- A minimum of 1 year relevant industry experience.
- Experience with and interest in technology as it relates to documents and layout.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Excellent typing, spelling and proofreading skills.
- Demonstrated "self-starter".
- Knowledge of production processes, both print and digital.
- Customer service, communication skills, flexibility, time management, project management, attention to detail, negotiation skills, leadership, multitasking and teamwork.
- Thorough knowledge of Adobe Suite (including, but not limited to InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat), Microsoft Word, and other Microsoft Office programs.
- Meticulous attention to visual design principles, fonts, and use of color.
- Ability to work with others and take constructive criticism and direction from a team.
