Help Create Excellent Visitor Experiences at the Anchorage Museum!

The Anchorage Museum is a place of ideas, creativity, and connection, committed to people, place, planet, and potential. We are currently recruiting for two Museum Associate positions:

1 Full-Time, Year-Round Museum Associate

This role is part of the core Visitor Experience team and supports Museum operations year-round.

1 Part-Time, Seasonal Museum Associate

This role supports public hours and summer activity needs, with the possibility of transitioning into a full-time, year-round role at a later date based on organizational needs and performance.

Both roles are central to creating positive guest experiences and ensuring every visitor feels welcomed, informed, and supported during their time with us.

What You'll Do

• Welcome visitors and project a positive, professional presence as an ambassador of the Museum
• Provide accurate information about exhibitions, programs, and events
• Support admissions, public hours, and event entry/egress
• Assist visitors, partners, artists, volunteers, and program participants
• Answer phones, deliver internal mail, and assist with general front-of-house needs
• Support the Museum Store, including stocking, inventory tasks, merchandise care, and customer service
• Help with event setup and takedown for Museum programs and facility rentals
• Maintain clean, orderly public spaces and store displays
• Participate in training and implement learned skills
• Ensure Museum rules and safety protocols are followed
• Contribute to sustainability goals and organizational social responsibility efforts
