Overview

The University of Alaska Anchorage Copy & Print Center is seeking a Production Management & Customer Service Specialist. This role is the first point of contact for customers, providing quotes, entering job tickets into the print management software, processing payments, and coordinating jobs with technicians and the graphic designer. The position is front‑desk, customer service focused and reports directly to the Document Services Supervisor.

Responsibilities

The Specialist will: manage daily customer interactions via phone, email, and in‑person; obtain and record job details accurately; handle cash transactions and reconciliations; use the print management software; communicate with production technicians and graphic designers to ensure timely job completion; and maintain compliance with all policies and procedures while suggesting efficiencies and improvements.

Qualifications
  • One year minimum relevant experience involving customer service.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Alaska Driver’s License that meets UA safe driver verification criteria.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and basic desktop publishing software.
  • Cash handling and reconciliation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Dependable, detail oriented, and able to learn new software quickly.
Position Details

This full‑time, non‑exempt staff position is located on the UAA campus in Anchorage. Employees receive a competitive salary, full employee benefits packages that include retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental, and vision coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 75, based on education and experience.
