Customer Relations Specialist

Suburban Propane seeks a Customer Relations Specialist to support residential, commercial, and industrial customers in our Utilities & Energy business. In this role, you will handle inbound calls and digital inquiries, resolve billing and service questions, and coordinate deliveries and service appointments with operations teams. You'll educate customers on propane and energy safety, options, and programs while maintaining accurate account records.

Working in a safety-first, customer-focused environment, you'll build long-term relationships and have opportunities for training and advancement in a stable, year-round industry.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for residential, commercial, and industrial customers
• Respond to inquiries about propane and energy products, deliveries, and services
• Resolve billing, service, and account issues with a focus on safety and compliance
• Coordinate service orders, deliveries, and maintenance with field and operations teams
• Maintain accurate customer records in CRM and billing systems
• Educate customers on safety procedures, products, and service options
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or service plans
• Support credit, collections, and account updates per company policies
• Track and follow up on open issues to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction
• Contribute to a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
