Dental Assistant

Location:

Anchorage, AK

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and treatment rooms in accordance with infection control standards.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix, Open Dental, or Eaglesoft.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, treatment plans, and post-operative care.
• Assist with appointment coordination and follow-up scheduling.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of dental supplies.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and all infection control and safety protocols.
• Support the clinical team with additional duties as needed to ensure efficient daily operations.

• Previous Dental Assistant experience is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures.
• Experience with Dentrix, Open Dental, or Eaglesoft is a plus.
• Familiarity with 3D scanners is preferred.
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization procedures.
• CPR/BLS certification is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude, dependability, and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care.

Compensation $22.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
