Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 40 Hours per Week | Competitive Pay DOE
We are an established Alaska dental practice seeking an experienced Dental Administrative to join our team. We are looking for a confident, organized, and proactive dental professional who understands that an exceptional patient experience begins long before a patient sits in the dental chair.
The ideal candidate will have 2-3+ years of dental administrative experience and a strong working knowledge of dental insurance, treatment presentation, collections, patient communication, and schedule management.
This is not simply a front desk position. We are looking for an experienced professional who can take ownership of administrative responsibilities, anticipate the needs of the practice, and help keep the day running smoothly and efficiently.
What You'll Do- Dental insurance verification, benefits, claims, and follow-up
- Treatment plan presentation and financial arrangements
- Patient collections and accounts receivable
- Schedule management and optimization
- Maintain productive provider and hygiene schedules
- New patient coordination
- Build positive, professional relationships with patients
- Communicate confidently and compassionately about treatment and financial options
- Manage cancellations, schedule changes, and unscheduled treatment
- Support efficient administrative systems and daily practice operations
- Collaborate closely with doctors, clinical team members, and leadership
Our ideal candidate is professional, dependable, organized, and proactive, with excellent communication and follow-through.
You should be comfortable discussing treatment and finances with patients while remaining compassionate and respectful of each patient's individual circumstances. You should also be someone who sees what needs to be done, takes initiative, and enjoys contributing to the success of the entire team.
Qualifications include- 2-3+ years of dental administrative experience preferred
- Strong dental insurance knowledge
- Experience presenting treatment and financial arrangements
- Experience with patient collections and accounts receivable
- Strong schedule management skills
- Excellent patient communication and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
- Dental software proficiency;
Dentrix experience is a plus
This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position.
Monday through Friday Five 8-hour days Scheduled working hours will fall between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
No regularly scheduled evening or weekend hours.
