Information Technology Services (ITS) has put together a program to give Student workers an opportunity to experience real‑life IT Service Center scenarios. This program will give students the knowledge and experience of working in an IT Call Center. Upon completion, students will be able to market themselves in this IT area, as they will learn both technical and customer services skills and have many different experiences to share with a future employer.

This program will give students the knowledge and experience of working in an IT Call Center or Computer Lab.
Qualifications that are preferred, but not required:
Experience working in a computer lab, hardware/software department/company or a technology customer service organization. Experience with Mac OS X; basic programming knowledge of C, C++, PHP, Perl, Java, etc;
MiniTAB, SPSS and/or AutoCAD. Experience troubleshooting, configuring and connecting A/V equipment a plus.
This is a part‑time position up to 20 hours per week while school is in session. Additional hours may be available during the summer and winter breaks. Starting hourly rate is $15.26/hr.
Eligibility Requirements- Be enrolled in the University of Alaska system with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment.
- Have been enrolled the preceding semester for six or more credit hours and demonstrate plans to enroll for six or more credit hours in the next semester for employment between semesters.
- Have at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA or approval from the MAU Senior Student Services officer or his/her designee.
- Students enrolled in nontraditional programs of study will be considered eligible with approval of the Senior Student Services officer.
- Provide evidence of enrollment as outlined above to substantiate employment eligibility.
