This position supports faculty research on an as‑needed basis during the academic year and/or summer. Duties are routine and may involve limited decision‑making in the absence of supervision. Some prior training, experience, or knowledge—particularly of laboratory procedures for lab‑based roles—may be required. Strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently after training are essential. A flexible schedule, including availability on nights and weekends, is expected.
EligibilityRequirements for Student Employment
- Enrolled in the UA system with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment.
- Minimum 2.0 GPA.
- High School Diploma.
The starting rate of pay for a Student Assistant 2 employee is $11.34. Placement on the salary scale may be determined by experience, job responsibilities, and departmental need.
