Training Specialist 2 (07-1601) in Anchorage, AK – position open to Alaska residents only.
If you’re looking for a purpose‑driven role that allows you to travel across Alaska, educate employees on State policies, and work both in‑person and virtually, this role may be right for you.
Work includes:
- Deliver professional training courses and workshops to State employees, including Supervisory Academy and other HR offerings.
- Partner with departments statewide to scope, design, and deliver customized trainings such as values development, team‑building, and leadership seminars.
- Create engaging SCORM‑based learning content using Articulate Rise and Storyline.
- Serve as primary point of contact for the Statewide Learning Management System, including training, admin manual, reports, and data analysis.
The Learning & Development Program is a collaborative team delivering supervisory, leadership, and performance management training to State employees.

Position requires frequent travel within the State of Alaska, typically up to one week at a time, and occasionally to two weeks.
