Student Research Assistant for College of Health

Entry (0-2 yrs) – The College of Health is seeking applicants for its student employee pool to work with faculty researchers. Successful applicants may assist with field and/or laboratory and other research project tasks. Assignments may require short turnaround times with general or minimal supervision. A flexible schedule including nights and weekends may be required. Applicants must be dependable and able to work independently after training.
For some positions, some knowledge of laboratory procedures may be required. Positions may be filled on an as-needed basis during the academic year and/or summer for faculty with active research projects.
- Provide field, laboratory, or other research support as assigned.
- Complete tasks within indicated time frames with general or minimal supervision.
- Maintain dependable attendance and be able to work independently after training.
- Adapt to a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, as needed.
- Participate in research activities in collaboration with faculty researchers.
- To be eligible for student employment: be enrolled in the UA system with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment.
- Have a 2.0 GPA.
- Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma.
The starting pay for a student employee is $11.34 per hour; pay may be higher depending on experience and department needs.
