The Office of Student Success is a campus‑wide engine for innovation, connection, and impact. We are dedicated to removing barriers, strengthening pathways, and ensuring every student has the tools and support they need to thrive. The Student Success & Honors College Coordinator plays a pivotal role in this mission, working at the intersection of data, strategy, and student engagement, leading university‑wide initiatives such as progress reporting campaigns and student success technologies, and collaborating with faculty and staff across campus.

You’ll also guide the Peer Ambassador Program, plan signature events, analyze program outcomes, and collaborate closely with the Director and Honors College Dean to elevate the student experience. Additionally, you will contribute to major federally funded initiatives, ensuring compliance, supporting grant operations, and sustaining innovative peer‑to‑peer support programs.

Responsibilities
  • Lead university‑wide initiatives such as progress reporting campaigns and student success technologies.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff across campus to design and implement student engagement strategies.
  • Guide the Peer Ambassador Program, planning signature events and analyzing program outcomes to drive improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director and Honors College Dean to elevate the student experience.
  • Ensure compliance and support grant operations for federally funded initiatives.
  • Collect, analyze, and apply student data to inform decision‑making and assessment.
  • Manage multiple projects, deadlines, and communication cycles with strong organizational skills.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in academic support, program coordination, student affairs, or related post‑secondary education roles.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and applying assessment to practice.
Position Details

This is a full‑time, exempt staff position located on the University of Alaska campus in Anchorage. Flexible on‑site/hybrid work arrangements may be considered in accordance with UA regulations. The position is grade 79 on the UA Staff Salary Schedule and includes a competitive salary and full employee benefits package: retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental, and vision coverage.

New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 79, based on education and experience. Application review will begin on 6/18/2026; applications received by this date will receive priority consideration.
