First- Coordinator

The First-Year Experience Coordinator supports the successful transition of new students through communication, orientation programming, and student engagement initiatives. This role combines marketing, content development, event coordination, and data assessment to enhance the student experience from the admission stage through their first year. Working together with campus partners, the coordinator helps deliver impactful programs, maintain consistent messaging, and support student success and retention efforts across the university.

To thrive in this role, candidates should be highly organized, with strong communication, marketing, and project management skills. Success requires the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, build positive relationships across campus communities, and apply sound judgment to solve problems. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting student success initiatives, coordinating complex projects, using technology and data systems, and translating institutional goals into clear communications.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Position Details:

This is a full-time, term-funded, exempt staff position with a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. The University provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 79, based on education and experience.

This position is a term-funded position and is reviewed annually for contract renewal at the University's discretion.
