Position Overview
We invite applications for a beginning‑level, tenure‑track Assistant Professor of Psychology to join the Department of Psychology at the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA). The appointment is full‑time, nine‑month, and includes a competitive salary, DOE, and full employee benefits. Expected start date is August 2026.
Teaching Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses both online and on campus in social psychology and related subjects.
- Utilize contemporary curricular content and innovative pedagogical methods.
- Mentor students at the research level.
- Develop an independent research program that builds on existing community and campus partnerships.
- Pursue and secure external funding.
- Publish and disseminate research findings.
- Doctoral degree in Social Psychology or a related field.
- Documented teaching record at the college level, including both online and classroom experience.
- Demonstrated potential or record of research and publication.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships with community partners.
