Job Overview

The UAA Culinary Arts Department is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach one or more undergraduate courses in the culinary arts field.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate courses consistently with the specific course content descriptions. Hold office hours that are appropriate for the courses taught.

Minimum Qualifications

• Certificate in Culinary Arts or three (3) years of appropriate experience and a Serv Safe Food Protection Manager certificate.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Culinary Arts and three (3) years of appropriate industry experience, plus one (1) year of teaching experience in the Culinary Arts field.

Position Details

This is a part‑time, adjunct instructor position. Minimum salaries are set by the United Academic – Adjunct, AAUP‑AT/AFL‑CIO collective bargaining agreement and may vary based on education and experience. The position is pool‑based; submission of an application does not guarantee review or an offer. It is an at‑will, union‑represented adjunct position and may be canceled based on the university’s needs.
