Job Overview
The UAA Department of Recreation, located in the AVIS Alaska Sports Complex, is a diverse department designed to assist students in providing the opportunity for physical development on the Anchorage campus. The department's mission is to support the educational mission of the University of Alaska Anchorage and promote the safety, health, and well‑being of our student-athletes, while guiding them toward academic and athletic excellence.
Responsibilities- Lift and carry moderately heavy objects.
- Work independently.
- Provide customer service to patrons.
- Completed UA Safe Title IX training or ability to complete training within 30 days of start date.
- Completed Behavior Based Safety (BBS) training or ability to complete training within 30 days of start date.
- Completed Workplace Harassment Prevention training or ability to complete training within 30 days of start date.
- Enrolled in the university system with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester or have completed six or more UA credit hours in the preceding semester and plan to enroll for six or more credit hours in the next semester.
- Not work hours that interfere with class attendance.
- Maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average.
- AED, CPR, and First Aid certification.

Student Assistant 2 - Pay: $11.34 per hour.
- Location:
University of Alaska, Anchorage campus. - Maximum 20 hours per week during class semesters; up to 40 hours per week between semesters.
