Position Overview

The Full-Time Medical Assistant Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in accordance with Charter College policies, procedures, and curriculum standards. Instruction may be delivered in on-ground, online, and blended learning environments
.

This position typically reports to the Program Manager
.

Blended Learning Environment

Our blended learning model combines face-to-face instruction- such as lectures, group activities, labs, and demonstrations with web-based tools including discussion boards, online forums, and a learning management system. This approach promotes active learning while maintaining the value of in-person instruction.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Deliver lecture, laboratory, and clinical instruction aligned with the established curriculum
  • Maintain daily lesson plans and follow course outlines, objectives, and evaluation methods
  • Monitor student attendance, participation, and retention; document as required
  • Actively support student retention by identifying and assisting at-risk students
  • Grade assignments, provide timely feedback, and submit final grades per policy
  • Maintain regular office hours or provide student support by appointment
  • Advise students on academic performance, policies, and program expectations
  • Communicate regularly with the Program Manager and Student Academic Advisor regarding student progress
  • Participate in faculty development activities to meet accreditation standards
  • Attend required meetings and serve on committees as assigned
  • Monitor and manage instructional equipment and supplies
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification (Required)
  • Minimum of three (3) years of Medical Assistant experience
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Teaching experience in a blended environment preferred (not required)

Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay Range: 50,
(Compensation based on experience, education, and qualifications)

Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • Medical Assistant: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Medical Assistant Certification (Required)

Relocation:

  • Must be able to relocate to Anchorage, AK 99508 prior to start date (Required)
