Education ​/ Teaching Coordinator, Training Instructor ​/ Specialist

About the Role

As an IS Coordinator with the Center for Human Development's disabilities services workforce training programs, you will lead a Tech team that supports professional Training Coordinators to deliver distance and in-person training opportunities and annual conferences throughout Alaska, oversee non-credit class registration and course “shell” construction and provide customer service and problem-solving skills to assist participant/users to access training opportunities.

A successful candidate will possess solid information technologies understanding with problem solving skills; experience and knowledge of multiple systems and how they relate to one another in regard to non-credit registration and learning management systems; have strong interpersonal/customer service, and communication skills in different environments like supporting in-person training sessions and conferences; using phone, email and zoom formats; abilities to adapt and adopt new technologies/software as needed to support training program;

and an ability to work well and lead Tech team and track multiple projects.

Must be able and willing to travel within Alaska as the IS Coordinator would be expected to support trainers with technology in other areas across the state.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e. Information Technology, Education or other related field) and 3 years' experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

This position is located on the University of Alaska campus in Anchorage.
