Systems Engineer

Position Overview

TEKsystems is currently seeking a Systems Engineer for a Hybrid Remote opening that will be a 10-month contract to start with potential for permanent conversion in 2027.

Hybrid Remote with 1 day on-site in Palmer, Alaska, and 4 days remote per week.

• Managing physical and virtual infrastructure (servers, storage, networking, virtualization, cloud services)
• Monitoring and supporting system performance, availability, and security
• Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues across on-prem and cloud environments
• Participating in disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response work
• Implementing or supporting security controls such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, patching, and hardening
• Deploying or maintaining Windows Server, virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, etc.
• Collaborating with Infrastructure Architect and internal IT teams to ensure stability and reliability

Pay range: $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
