Description
Lockheed Martin is seeking an Aircraft Electrician for the F-22 modification line at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. The role focuses on servicing, repairing, and overhauling aircraft electrical and avionics systems to ensure airworthiness and meet engineering requirements.
Responsibilities- Service, repair, and overhaul F-22 aircraft electrical and avionics systems to ensure airworthiness.
- Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft electrical and avionics systems and components.
- Incorporate engineering changes, replace and repair worn or damaged components.
- Adjust, repair, and replace electrical wiring systems and aircraft accessories.
- Perform operational checks and conduct pre‑ and post‑modification/upgrade/overhaul testing, troubleshooting and repairing electrical and avionics systems as required.
- Apply detailed knowledge of electrical and avionics circuits and components interrelationships.
- Use complex test instruments and computer‑controlled equipment.
- Work may be reviewed by a supervisor for compliance and may involve providing technical guidance.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and repair manuals, understand symbols, flags, and notes; identify aircraft locations by station, butt‑line, and waterline.
- 4+ years of aircraft avionics/electrical experience.
- 2+ years reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Previously awarded a US Air Force 5/7 Skill Level in a related AFSC (or equivalent Army MOS/Navy NEC/Marine MOS rating), or an FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate.
- Experience with F‑22, F‑35, F‑16, F‑15, F‑18 or similar aircraft avionics/electrical systems.
- Experience in tool control, FOD, supply, HAZMAT, training, quality, and security programs.
- Aircraft modification expertise.
- Nose‑to‑tail maintenance concept.
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN. The position requires an interim clearance to start and the ability to obtain a final Secret clearance. Must be available to work a flexible schedule to keep aircraft modifications on schedule. Domestic travel may be required.
Physical RequirementsMay include military‑required health screenings and immunizations. Extended work hours may be required. Must regularly lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist. Confined space entry may be required.
Security ClearanceRequires a Secret clearance. You must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration.
