Position SummaryUnder the general direction of the Capital Program Manager, this position supervises, plans, prioritizes, assigns, reviews, and provides technical direction to Project Management Section staff. It manages all design through construction phases of AWWU capital improvement projects, including construction negotiations and recommendations on disposition of claims.
Responsibilities- Supervise, plan, prioritize, assign, and review work of Project Management Section staff.
- Provide technical direction for capital improvement projects.
- Manage design through construction phases of projects.
- Conduct construction negotiations and recommend disposition of claims.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible engineering experience.
- Master’s degree in Engineering may substitute for experience on a year‑for‑year basis.
- Valid State of Alaska driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- Alaska professional engineer license.
- Valid background check.
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
