** Job Description*
* NANA Worley is hiring for multiple positions at varying classifications from Civil/Structural Engineer to Civil/Structural Specialist Engineersdependent on experience and competencies.

** _*This position qualifies for the NANA Worley Candidate Referral Program, available only to existing NANA Worley employees

* The Civil/Structural Engineer position is responsible for researching, specifying, developing, designing, engineering, or testing components, equipment and/or systems in a multi-discipline engineering and design team.

Individuals are expected to apply advanced knowledge of engineering principles, methods, and techniques to project assignments.

** _This position is intended for execution from the NANA Worley offices in Anchorage, Alaska, USA._*
* ** Responsibilities*
* + Researches and analyzes data such as client design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.

+ Works with clients to develop a project's scope of work, estimates, and/or schedules.

+ Reviews and approves project drawings, standards, and specifications.

+ Develops major equipment and material selection, and construction specifications.

+ Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.

+ Ensures that all assigned activities and operations comply with applicable codes, regulations, and laws.

+ Provides support during fabrication and installation phases to ensure engineering documents are followed.

+ Coordinates activities with other project disciplines involved in fabrication, operation, application, and installation or repair of various materials, products, or systems.

+ Provides technical direction, support and information to other engineers, designers, and drafters.

+ Consistently demonstrates professional skills in structuring assigned activities, creativity, teamwork, communications, operational efficiencies, handling of a client's changing needs, decision making, and analyzing and solving problems.

+ Analyzes reports, maps, drawings, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design project.

+ Calculates cost and determines feasibility of project based on analysis of collected data.

+ Prepares or directs preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules and designs for project.

+ Inspects construction site to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans, specifications, and construction and safety standards.

+ Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.

+ More senior individuals will have engineering experience including arctic civil/structural design and application of IBC, AWS, ASCE, AISC and national fire codes.

+ This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

+ Other duties as assigned.

** Qualifications*
* The following describes the education and experience typically required to develop the competencies for each classification level; competencies may be demonstrated with other combinations of education, training, experience, and achievements:

_Engineer_

+ Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering from an ABET-accredited institution required.

+ A minimum of 2 years of work experience, with oil and gas industry experienced preferred; and

+ Engineer in Training certificate (EIT) or passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam preferred.

_Senior Engineer_

+ Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering from an ABET-accredited institution; and

+ 4-10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry; and

+ PE/SE license strongly desired

_Staff Engineer_

+ Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering from an ABET-accredited institution, 8-15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, and PE/SE license; or

+ Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of experience.

_Senior Staff Engineer_

+ Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering from an ABET-accredited institution, 15+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry, and PE/SE license; or

+ Bachelor's degree and 20+…
