Requirements About the Job

We are currently seeking a Senior Consultant or Principal-level Scientist or Engineer for our Marine, Coastal, Climate, and Technology business area with an emphasis in environmental and ocean sciences. The candidate will lead business development efforts across a wide variety of work with emphasis on oceanographic and environmental support for coastal developments, APDES/NPDES permitting and compliance support, and applied scientific studies and logistical support while supporting multiple clients.

Target areas may also include projects focused on sea level rise and coastal hazard modeling, vulnerability assessments, and adaptation planning with an emphasis on nature-based solutions as those have been focus areas for Integral. The position will include working across practices within Integral with other scientists and engineers with expertise in engineering, ecology, restoration, natural resource economics, toxicology, hydrogeology, and data management and visualization.

This position may offer in-office, remote, or hybrid opportunities based on the candidate’s location and the needs of the organization.

Responsibilities

As a marine/environmental scientist or engineer, your job functions will include, but not be limited to:

  • Outreach in support of a wide array of clients

  • Field and logistics planning
  • Execution of technical work and client deliverables

Qualifications

Candidates should hold an advanced degree in oceanography, environmental science, ocean or coastal engineering, or other marine science fields. Alaska experience and networks are required.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Consulting experience in Alaska with a working knowledge of marine-related industries and developments and an understanding of regulatory processes and policy
  • 15+ years of professional experience in environmental/marine sciences or engineering
