The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF), Central Region Design & Engineering Services, is looking for an Engineering Assistant 1/2/3 Flex to help us Keep Alaska Moving!
Base Salary Information:
Engineering Assistant 1: $32.78 Hourly
Engineering Assistant 2: $37.78 Hourly
Engineering Assistant 3: $43.19 Hourly
What you will be doing:
Assist Right-of-Way (ROW) Engineering staff efforts in making determinations regarding existing highway rights of way based on public land orders, departmental orders, executive orders, and historical records. Oversee the design, engineering and development of right of way plans, parcel maps, and legal descriptions. Coordinate and manage multiple diverse tasks with competing schedules involving design, construction, maintenance, public information, ROW acquisition, and administration of Consultant ROW mapping contracts.

We work to manage these assets and acquire land interests necessary to expand these systems through construction projects. As a Right-of-Way Engineering Assistant you will be crucial in assisting the department's mission to "Keep Alaska Moving".

The position is at the Central Region Headquarters building on Lake Hood (4111 Aviation Ave.), off International Airport Road in Anchorage. Office hours are flexible and allow for short work weeks in accordance with established policies. As a side benefit you will have easy access to bike & walking trails around Lake Hood.
