Electrical Engineer - ACES

The Electrical and Instrumentation Designer is responsible for generating accurate engineering and construction deliverables for all project phases in a single or multidiscipline environment. This position provides technical guidance to drafters and assistant designers.

Essential duties include performing engineering analysis of projects including calculations and equipment selection for all project phases, conducting surveys and gathering field data as required, preparing and interpreting drawings, including schematic drawings, layouts, and other visual aids, preparing engineering scopes of work, schedules, and cost estimates for all project phases, preparing fabrication and construction scopes of work, specifications, material take-offs (MTO), and change requests, identifying scope of work or design basis changes and initiating change management documents, preparing and updating status reports, forecasts, and related project controls tools, performing quality review of computer-aided design (CAD), ensuring supplier data and drawings are in compliance with project design specifications, monitoring project scope, schedule, and budget, providing feedback to discipline lead engineer regarding progress on assigned tasks, providing technical guidance to drafters, designers, engineering technicians, and engineers, and other duties as needs require.

Compliance with Company and customer policies and procedures is also required. Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.

Required experience includes a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, ability to pass FE exam within one year of hire date, and possession of a valid state driver's license. Preferred qualifications include a professional engineer license and oil & gas experience.
