Job Summary

Current internship positions are available in Alaska, Lower 48, or Global Technical Function organizations. Our internships provide opportunities to learn and apply engineering skills. Successful candidates will receive diversified training through on-the-job assignments using the technical skills acquired in college. Assigned projects will develop the interns both technically and professionally. Each intern will be assigned a technical mentor and supervisor to ensure a productive and engaging assignment.

Interns are typically matched to one of the Upstream fields including Reservoir, Production, Facilities, Drilling, Completions, Projects, or. Within that field, the intern will be responsible for completing one or more projects during the summer. The intern will work within established engineering and/or operations teams. The Engineering internship assignment locations will vary based on Phase 1 and Phase 2 internships.

Position Overview

Basic/

Required:

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer and/or education institution
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or foreign equivalent
• Current level in college:
  Sophomore through Senior or Graduate Student
• Expected graduation date:
  Fall 2027 through Spring/Fall 2029
• Available for internship start mid-late May 2027
• A minimum of ten (10) continuous weeks availability for internship

Preferred:

• Willing to work in either of these locations:
  Houston, Texas;
  Kenedy, Texas;
  Midland, Texas;
  Dickinson, North Dakota; or Anchorage, Alaska
• A minimum cumulative and major GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Previous internships or co-ops in an energy related field
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Builds positive relationships based on trust and seeks collaboration across organizational boundaries to achieve goals
• Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments by holding others accountable and standing up for what's right
• Understands how key financial and quantitative indicators impact the business
