Our staff of over 85 professionals provides planning, design, and construction support services for federal, state, municipal, tribal, and private clients on projects in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest. Our in-house multi-discipline services include mechanical, structural, civil, electrical, and environmental engineering;

construction management; planning; permitting; public involvement; GIS; and land surveying. We’ve been improving Alaskan communities for over 45 years!

CRW’s collaborative approach fosters innovative solutions to diverse challenges in exciting environments. Our water and wastewater team works on diverse projects from inception through planning, design, and support of construction efforts. CRW’s projects take us from Alaska’s North Slope to the US southern border and places in between. We are looking for a water/wastewater engineer to join us and execute planned projects, including rehabilitation of existing facilities and construction of first-service water and wastewater systems.

You will work with city governments, federal agencies, and private corporations on challenging and rewarding projects.

• Create detailed designs of water and wastewater treatment systems, collection systems, and distribution systems under instruction from the Project Engineer.
• Observe and document field and construction activities primarily related to water and sewer pipeline and facility infrastructure.
• Prepare plans, analysis, and study-level reports for water and wastewater systems.
• Determine design methods, equipment sizing and selection, and write technical specifications.
• Collaborate on and contribute to maintaining and building strong client relationships.

• Interest or experience designing water/wastewater treatment facilities.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field.
• EIT Certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
• AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently or with a multi-discipline team
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

• Ingress/egress from small planes, ATV use, cold weather resiliency.
• Must be able to access and navigate job sites and construction areas.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds at times.
• Willingness to travel to communities throughout Alaska with sufficient notice.
