Operations Administrator – Electronic Banking Operations

At Northrim Bank, the Operations Administrator is a key driver behind secure, efficient, and innovative Electronic Banking operations. You’ll handle high-impact transactions, mitigate risk, support critical systems, and serve as an escalation point for Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams—making a real difference for customers and colleagues alike.

You won’t just “process transactions”—you’ll lead, troubleshoot, train, and innovate across our electronic banking ecosystem.

In this role, you will:

  • Process and oversee high-risk ACH, Wire, and Positive Pay transactions
  • Investigate and resolve complex out-of-balance issues and account discrepancies
  • Act as Tier-2 escalation support for fraud alerts, online breaches, and electronic banking inquiries
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for ACH, wire, and electronic banking processes
  • Develop reporting criteria and analyze data that drives smarter electronic operations
  • Execute beginning- and end-of-day wire processing and reconcilement
  • Test and quality-check system updates, quarterly releases, and new banking services
  • Coordinate vendor incidents, outages, and product updates with internal teams
  • Train and mentor Tier 1 and Tier 2 staff—helping others grow their skills and confidence
  • Resolve escalated customer issues with professionalism, urgency, and care
  • Provide advanced technical support for software, systems, browsers, and mobile devices
  • Track service levels, generate operational metrics, and ensure customer needs are met

Experience & Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 6+ years of financial institution experience, including:
    • 3+ years in electronic banking services
  • Certifications, related education, or military experience may substitute for some requirements
  • Proven progression and increasing responsibility preferred

  • Deep understanding of ACH, wires, fraud mitigation, and compliance requirements

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities
  • Confident working independently while collaborating across teams
Technical Strengths
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS operating systems
  • Comfortable troubleshooting software, platforms, and electronic banking tools
  • Ability to navigate multiple systems and resources efficiently
