Afognak Native Corporation has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Operations Controller at our corporate office in Anchorage, Alaska.
The Commercial Operations Controller serves as the critical link between Corporate Finance and Commercial Operations, ensuring financial integrity, operational alignment, and compliance across the commercial segment.
This role provides strategic financial support to commercial leadership while driving consistency, efficiency, and continuous improvement in financial processes and controls.
This position will also actively participate in the planning, implementing, and controlling all financial-related activities such as policy updates and compliance, budgeting & forecasting, strategic planning, pricing and overall efficiency and improvement initiatives within the Commercial Operations and Corporate Finance environments.
Required Qualifications & Experience- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years progressive accounting supervision experience in a fast paced commercial environment.
- Point-of sale back-end accounting office experience required.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), inventory management and accounting in retail environment.
- Self-starter who takes the initiative to achieve objectives, works constructively with the company’s culture and produces quality deliverables.
- Ability to lead team, inspire team cohesiveness, work as a team member and independently in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work with and understand the operational aspects of the company.
