Management Accountant - ASRC Talent Solutions

Job Summary

The Management Accountant will provide senior leadership with information related to volumes, revenues, expenditures, and cost controlling for the business unit. The position is responsible for reporting and controlling expenditures in compliance with annual cost and revenue budgets and the Client's standards for project and operations cost control. The Accountant will collaborate closely with all departments, including Development, Production Operations, Project Management, and Drilling and Completions teams.

* This position is anticipated to be short term for approximately 6 months *

• Monitor and partner with the business units to manage expenditures and support decision making across the business.
• Monitor contractual terms, production operations, and value of work completed against invoices received to determine monthly accruals.
• Support the preparation and reporting of annual budgets, monthly performance reporting, and tracking against KPIs, and prepare analysis and commentary for results.
• Review and update cost coding and allocations.
• Review, analyze, and update production operation forecast values.
• Develop cost controls, operating metrics, and reporting procedures in readiness for first oil operationalization.
• Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's Degree in finance or business.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving, data modeling, and analytical skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.).
• Experience working on oil and gas production operations and major capital projects.

• MBA, CPA, or relevant cost control certifications.
• Experience working with SAP and Power BI.
• Experience in a harsh weather or logistically challenging environment within oil and gas.
• Knowledge of the upstream oil and gas industry from within an exploration and production company.
• Experience with joint venture and IFRS accounting.
