Overview
Reports To: Senior SC Collateral Control Officer
Primary Functions: Control adverse actions associated with credit union collateral
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Comply with federal, state and local laws and credit union procedures and practices regarding adverse actions involving credit union collateral.
- Responsible for maintaining records and adherence with department procedures and practices for assignment of repossessions and remarketing of repossessed collateral.
- Responsible for maintaining records and adherence with department procedures and practices for protection of credit union collateral when impounded by private and public agencies.
- Responsible for maintaining records and adherence with department procedures and practices for member and insurance company contact during total loss hazard claims involving credit union collateral.
- Responsible for maintaining and adherence with department procedures and practices of credit union Cross Collateralization procedures and practices.
- Responsible for maintaining and adherence with real property loan file review as a result of past due loans, notice of default from senior/junior lien interests and taxing authorities and recommendation of actions involving real property collateral.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requires good written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of laws and regulations involving repossession, foreclosure and insurance claim processing preferred.
Tenure: Special Credit Collateral Control Officer II (Category 11) requires one year as a Special Credits Collateral Control Officer I (Category 12) and in the opinion of management performance that meets or exceeds expectations for proficiency and efficiency in work related to the SC Collateral Control Department. The incumbent must have also demonstrated the ability and accuracy to work independently to sign on department related documents.
Special Credits Collateral Control Officer III (Category 10) requires 12 months tenure in the Special Credits Collateral Control Officer II (Category 11) position with performance that meets or exceeds expectations for proficiency and efficiency in department related responsibilities and problem solving capacity of adverse situations involving members and their account relationships. At management's discretion, directly related work experience and/or accelerated training completion may be substituted for tenure.
Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and applicable local or state wage requirements, and will fall within the range provided below. In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall between the minimum and midpoint of the listed range.
Salary Pay Range: 10 $ 63,233 - $99,908 annually
Salary Pay Range: 11 $ 57,484 - $90,230 annually
Salary Pay Range: 12 $ 53,226 - $81,405 annually
