- Serve as day‑to‑day finance partner to the Location Leadership Team and represent the Finance function to Operations.
- Maintain open and clear dialogue regarding Location results with the Location Director, RMD, Finance Controller and Finance Director.
- Lead the Finance Function in strategy, capability, and day‑to‑day operational delivery.
- Work closely with related parties to understand their financial results and forecasts and ensure compliance with agreements.
- Collaborate with leadership in compiling and presenting month‑end results for review outside the region.
- Implement Finance‑approved strategies, policies, and processes in the Location to ensure consistent Group‑wide best practice.
- Lead benchmarking to identify continuous improvement opportunities in systems, processes, cost reduction, and challenge the status quo.
- Oversee planning, direction, and coordination of the Location accounting and administration functions.
- Provide strategic financial leadership, advice, and commercial support to Locations and Joint Ventures.
- Provide commercial input into bids, projects, and commercial terms and conditions.
- Undertake ad‑hoc analysis and participate in special projects, designing financial models, scenarios, and sensitivities for projects and advising on their application.
- Engage in special projects such as preparing financial aspects of new business opportunities or overseeing rate development for major proposals.
- Take overall project accounting responsibility for all projects and joint ventures, ensuring compliance with legislation and policies, invoicing and billing, cost management, and management of financial and treasury risks.
- Dive into projects and their performance to investigate variances to forecasts and budgets.
- Deliver consistent, accurate, and timely management information (financial and statistical) to all key stakeholders for decision making.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in the application of Accounting Policy and Standards and appropriate internal controls.
- Lead budget and forecast preparation for the Location and provide information supporting long‑range planning activities.
- Work with Global finance groups on monthly reporting, functional reporting, tax, treasury, Location initiatives, and ad‑hoc projects.
- Work closely with the regional Tax Manager to ensure full compliance with all relevant tax laws.
- Ensure auditable compliance with legal and statutory requirements and achieve sound corporate governance and compliance with The Way, Worley Parsons policies, and IFRS.
- Drive best‑in‑class cash management around DSO and WIP, ensuring collections and invoicing efficiency, with weekly meetings between operational and invoicing teams.
- Steward ongoing cash forecasting and uphold strong, visible credit risk management in the Location.
- Take overall responsibility for liquidity management of the location.
- Degree qualified in a relevant Engineering, Business, Commerce, or quantitative discipline, preferably with CA/CPA or a postgraduate qualification such as an MBA.
- Commercial analysis skills combined with a proven track record of supporting project delivery and a solid understanding of project execution mechanisms.
- Significant experience in roles such as Project Director/Manager, Project Services, or Project Engineering Management.
- Excellent understanding of principles of EPCM/PMC/EPC, partnering, and target contracts.
- High level of interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships, obtain cooperation, and develop collaborative working relationships.
- A thorough understanding of project risks and recognition of which party the risk vests with, as well as the potential impact on time and cost.
- Experience in commercial or contractual disputes, analysis of contracts, and different business models to understand key commercial issues and the required terms and conditions.
- Willingness to travel throughout the region on a periodic basis.
