Job Summary
Location:
101 West Benson Boulevard – Anchorage, Alaska 99503. Join Key Bank as a Personal Banker where you serve as a trusted advisor, helping clients achieve financial wellness through both in‑person and proactive calling efforts. You will attract new clients and deepen relationships with existing ones, working closely with the branch team to meet individual activity, behavior, and outcome goals.
- Provide a strong client experience culture, engaging every client and teammate.
- Identify financial wellness opportunities during client conversations and provide customized recommendations.
- Open personal and business accounts, including consumer checking, small business, deposit products, home equity, unsecured lending, certificates of deposit, etc.
- Develop partnerships with branch teammates and line‑of‑business partners to acquire new clients and deepen existing relationships.
- Ensure compliance with operational, risk, security, and audit procedures and maintain appropriate documentation of client interactions.
- Support branch operations, including assisting with teller transactions as needed.
- Participate in morning huddles and end‑of‑day debriefs.
- Work Saturdays as directed by management.
- Perform other duties as assigned, with the understanding that responsibilities may change.
- Adhere to all Key Bank policies, including ethical conduct and acting in the best interests of clients.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent business experience (required).
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
- 1+ years in developing current and new customer relationships, achieving sales goals, and building referral sources.
- Sales experience is more important than financial services experience.
- Understanding of consumer credit, including loan‑to‑value, debt‑to‑income, and credit reports.
- Foundational knowledge of sales and service techniques with clients, including tele‑consulting, outside calling, prospecting, and networking.
- Comfortable interacting with small‑business clients, overcoming objection, and asking fact‑finding questions.
- Demonstrated experience influencing business partners and leveraging centers of influence.
- Working knowledge of PCs (MS Windows, Office products including Word, Excel).
- Working knowledge of digital technology (mobile, apps, web) and ability to educate clients on digital platforms.
- Notary License (preferred).
- Strong client knowledge and sound judgment in transactions.
- Ability to attain sales and referral goals through high‑quality conversations.
- Excellent time management and high integrity.
- Relationship building and client engagement.
- Effective verbal and non‑verbal communication.
- Cash handling accuracy and efficiency.
- Risk assessment and management related to banking operations.
- Adherence to Key Bank’s values and Code of Conduct.
Prolonged standing (5–8hours per day), frequent hand use, occasional bending and lifting from floor height, lifting 1–10lbs. occasionally up to 30lbs.
Driving RequirementsAbility to routinely operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver’s license.
Compensation and BenefitsBase hourly rate $20.67–$31.25 with incentive compensation (production, commission, discretionary). Eligible for benefits (see list).
