The Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development's Division of Administrative Services is recruiting for a Budget Analyst 1/2 in Juneau or Anchorage. This flexibly staffed position supports the development, review, and administration of the department's operating and capital budgets, with growth built in as you learn the budget cycle, key financial systems, and how program pieces fit together. The Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development strengthens Alaska's economy and communities by supporting essential local services and protecting consumers through its regulatory work. The Division of Administrative Services advances this mission by delivering centralized financial, budget, procurement, and administrative support that keeps the department's programs running smoothly. In this role, you contribute directly to the department's success by providing professional, analytical budget expertise in a complex and fast-moving financial environment.

This position is based in the department's main offices - either on the 9th floor of the State Office Building in Juneau or the 18th floor of the Atwood Building in Anchorage - each offering modern work spaces and excellent views. The daily environment is friendly, professional, and collaborative, with regular interaction across divisions and agencies. Hybrid local telework may be available after a training period.

  Knowledge of the principles and practices of budget administration and analysis; including preparing, justifying, reporting on, and executing the budget; and the relationships among program, budget, accounting, and reporting systems.

  Knowledge of the standards, architecture, and specifications of automated financial systems, including source documents, system flows, system interfaces, and related internal controls.
• Integrity/Honesty:
  Contributes to maintaining the integrity of the organization; displays high standards of ethical conduct and understands the impact of violating these standards on an organization, self, and others; is trustworthy.
• Learning:
