Job DescriptionWe are recruiting an experienced, self‑motivated program manager to join the Division of Senior and Disability Services Grants Unit team. The role focuses on statewide grant‑funded services for Alaska’s seniors and individuals experiencing a disability.
Responsibilities- Lead the full scope of statewide program planning, administration, development, management, implementation, and evaluation of grant‑funded services.
- Manage multiple grant programs with varying requirements and structures.
- Partner closely with grantees and community‑based agencies to ensure effective program implementation and proper use of grant funds, providing technical assistance and developing training materials.
- Collaborate with state and community partners to advance program goals.
- Oversee service delivery programs, ensuring effectiveness and efficiency.
- Travel frequently within Alaska for site visits, meetings, and conferences.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication, including effective presentations and responsive listening.
- Experience in program oversight, planning, coordination, and monitoring of government programs.
- Knowledge of and experience in analysis and assessment, writing, community dimension of practice, partnering, and public health principles.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a biological, health, behavioral science, public health, or related field; or equivalent work experience. - Progressively responsible work experience in health program planning, development, coordination, evaluation, or implementation.
- Valid and current Alaskan driver’s license.
- Frequent travel within the state required.
