The Division of Community and Regional Affairs

is recruiting for a flex Grants Administrator 1/2 located in Anchorage or Fairbanks!

What you will be doing:

Our mission at DCRA is to focus on consistent community communication and collaboration. This position will make important and lasting contributions to communities in Alaska by supporting and implementing grant programs with non-profits, private agencies and government entities throughout the State of Alaska. This position will interpret, explain and apply grant related laws, regulations, or policies to grantees to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements as well as guidance to recipients on allowable costs, proper reimbursement documentation and progress reporting.

The Division of Community and Regional Affairs (DCRA) mission is to help Alaska’s communities build sustainable economies and a means of self-governance.

DCRA has been an advocate for our state’s communities since its creation in 1959 by constitutional mandate under Article X of the Alaska Constitution. DCRA’s purpose is to provide for maximum local self-government with a minimum of local government units, and to prevent duplication of tax-levying jurisdictions. DCRA was established to advise and assist local governments, review their activities, collect and publish local government information and perform other duties as prescribed by law.

Who we are looking for:

Federal Funds Processing:

Knowledge of methods and procedures for processing direct and reimbursable program funds (for example, automatic and funded reimbursements, interagency agreements, transfer appropriations), grants, loans, and credit programs.

Grants Management Laws, Regulations, and Guidelines:

Knowledge of principles, laws, regulations, policies, practices, and guidelines (for example, Executive Orders, Code of Federal Regulations, OMB circulars) of grant or agreement programs, including their order of precedence.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications for the Grants Administrator 1 position (Range 14):

Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in

Accounting:

Knowledge of traditional accounting practices including accrual, obligations, and costs methods.

Analysis and Assessment:

Uses information technology in accessing, collecting, analyzing, maintaining, and disseminating data and information.
