WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
The Research Analyst 4 is the supervisor for the Department of Public Safety`s (DPS) Public Information Request and Research Unit (PIRRU). Under general supervision of the Department Communications Manager, this position will develop, plan, review and coordinate sensitive, complex and high-level public information requests involving in-depth research and analysis. This unit handles public records release management and in-depth research and analysis relating to record requests.
The Research Analyst 4 is responsible for the oversight, assessment, maintenance, continuous improvement, and overall effectiveness of the unit. The Research Analyst 4 serves as the subject matter expert on complex requests and advises the Division on policy, statute or legislative implication of requests and or findings, and is the Division´s primary liaison with the Department of Law, as well as other state, federal, local, and regional organizations regarding requests, research, and statistics.

THE WORKING CONDITIONS YOU CAN EXPECT:This position is located at 5700 E Tudor Road in Anchorage. The Headquarters building is situated close to Providence Hospital and many restaurants and conveniences. The successful applicant will work closely with Department leadership while supporting their own team.
