We’re seeking a dynamic, visionary leader to guide the Permitting Unit at the Southcentral Regional Land Office (SCRO). As the Natural Resource Manager 2, you’ll oversee a team of land management professionals responsible for issuing permits on state lands across Southcentral Alaska.

In this pivotal role, you’ll:

Drive economic development while safeguarding Alaska’s natural resources.

Facilitate responsible public land use in alignment with the public interest.

Mentor and inspire a dedicated team of up to eight staff.

This position is based in Anchorage, at the Southcentral Regional Land Office (SCRO), a workplace known for its collaborative, team-oriented environment. The work here is fast-paced, challenging, and solution-focused, offering opportunities to tackle complex issues and make impactful decisions every day. The Anchorage office offers a stunning view of the Chugach Mountain Range and is conveniently located downtown near a variety of services, the scenic Park Strip, and the Coastal Trail system, providing easy access to outdoor recreation and urban amenities.
