These positions are in the Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance (OECA), Office of Criminal Enforcement, Forensics and Training, Criminal Investigation Division, multiple area branches. About: OECA This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to one of the duty stations stated in this announcement on a regular basis (location TBD after candidate selected).

You will:
Support the investigation, apprehension, and detention of criminals to ensure compliance with agency policies, legal standards, and officer safety protocols. Support employee training and development in research-based investigative procedures and access to tools and resources to carry out successful investigations. Plan, organize, develop resources, and support management direction to accomplish strategic, compliance, and organizational objectives.

Communicate and liaise with various stakeholders to streamline operations and support crucial relationships. One or more positions may be filled (in the organization advertised and/or in other organizations), if appropriate to the position.

Benefits will not change for current permanent EPA employees. This position is eligible for Law Enforcement Availability Pay (LEAP), which is an additional 25% of the annual rate of basic pay. However, total earnings are subject to federal salary caps (i.e., maximum earnings limitations). For more information, see OPM Fact Sheet.

If you are selected for this position, situational telework may be approved by your supervisor if you meet eligibility requirements, as allowable by agency policy and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement. EPA policy only allows telework to be approved situationally. Situational telework is for work or assignments of specific limited duration on an occasional, emergency, or ad hoc basis.

NOTE:

If you are an EPA employee who currently works at a remote work location (i.e., full-time telework), your approval for remote work does not transfer to this position, subject to Section 501 of the Rehabilitation Act.

The posted pay range is $125776 – $197200/yr.

This position is eligible for telework.

This position requires a Top Secret security clearance.
